You can delete your account and data yourself, at any time, from inside the app.
In the app (fastest)
- Open PlateSet and go to the Me tab.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete my account.
- Enter your password to confirm.
It's deleted from the app straight away. Copies in our database backups are erased automatically as those backups expire, within 14 weeks (see the Privacy Policy). If you're a coach, your invite code is removed and your clients' app tells them you've closed your account.
Can't open the app?
Email support@getplateset.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.
What gets deleted
- Your account (email, name and password)
- Your food, water, sleep, weigh-in and measurement log, and your workouts
- Goals, targets, plan history and check-ins
- Your health intake answers
- Daily notes and saved foods
- Photos you shared with a coach (progress photos on your phone are deleted too)
- Your profile photo
- Reports you made about restaurant items, and barcode label numbers you added
- Feedback you sent from Help and feedback, with any screenshot
- If you're a coach: your invite code, your private notes and session records about clients, and your programs, templates and training maxes (workouts and comments you already gave clients stay in their logs)
What stays
- Restaurant items you added to the shared list stay for others to use. Your name isn't attached to them.
- If you had a coach: their private notes and session records about you, and the training maxes they set for you, are deleted from PlateSet with your account, and we let each coach know so they delete any copies they kept, within 30 days under the Coach Terms. Their programs stay theirs (see the Privacy Policy).
- Crash reports, which never contain your log, are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically.
- An early access request from getplateset.com isn't tied to your account. Email us and we'll delete it too.
- Google Play keeps its own record of any subscription purchase. Cancel a subscription in the Play Store before deleting your account, or it may keep renewing.
