Delete your PlateSet account
You can delete your account and data yourself, at any time, from inside the app.
In the app (fastest)
- Open PlateSet and go to the Me tab.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete my account.
- Enter your password to confirm.
It's deleted from the app straight away; backup copies are erased within 14 weeks. If you're a coach, your invite code is removed and your clients' app tells them you've closed your account.
Can't open the app?
Email support@getplateset.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.
What gets deleted
- Your account (email, name and password)
- Your food, water, sleep, weigh-in and measurement log
- Goals, targets, plan history and check-ins
- Daily notes and saved foods
- Photos you shared with a coach (progress photos on your phone are deleted too)
- Reports you made about restaurant items
- If you're a coach: your invite code and your private notes about clients
What stays
- Restaurant items you added to the shared list stay for others to use. Your name isn't attached to them.
- Crash reports, which never contain your log, are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically.
- Google Play keeps its own record of any subscription purchase. Cancel a subscription in the Play Store before deleting your account, or it may keep renewing.
